MyMedicare

When you register in MyMedicare, it will notify your general practice that you have chosen them as your regular care team. MyMedicare patients will have access to: - greater continuity of care with your registered practice, which has been demonstrated to improve health outcomes - longer Medicare Benefit Scheme (MBS) funded telehealth consultations with your GP - the General Practice in Aged Care Incentive program that provides more regular visits from a GP and better care planning for people living in a residential aged care home

  • How Can I Register?
    • Start the registration process in your Medicare Online Account through the myGov app. Practice staff will then accept the registration in the MyMedicare system.
    • We can start your registration with MyMedicare or you can ask us to register you. This will trigger a registration in your Medicare Online Account, which you can complete via your myGov app.
    • Fill out a registration form and provide it to our reception team. You can obtain this form from us in person or by clicking here and returning the form to our reception. By signing the form, you are giving consent to participate in MyMedicare. Practice staff will then complete the registration in the MyMedicare system.
As part of your MyMedicare registration, you can choose to provide additional information about yourself, but this is optional. The information you provide will be shared with your MyMedicare practice and will help your practice, primary care team and the government to plan and improve your health care services.
